Possibly the most famous shoe designer in our current age is christian louboutin. His ethos is to “make shoes that are like jewels” and each unique design demonstrates unparalleled quality and an innate sultriness.
christian louboutin was born in
Paris and at 16 years old became an apprentice at Charles Jourdan’s shoe factory. His main inspiration for becoming a shoe designer were the showgirls of the
Paris nightclubs of the late 70’s early 80’s – “[The showgirls] influence me a lot. If you like high heels, it’s really the ultimate high heel – it’s all about the legs, how they carry themselves, the embellishment of the body. They are the ultimate icons.”
Hundreds of famous celebrities the world over are huge fans. Oprah Winfrey has described the shoes simply as “pieces of art”. Unlike most Mum’s Victoria Beckham was last year seen watching her children playing football in a park in a pair of christian louboutin Heels.
It is a fact that a large proportion of the nation don’t and possibly will never own a pair of christian louboutin but it’s almost as if having a pair would take away from the sheer, unadulterated joy of lusting after them.
